Hi all! So I began doing my own jazz/pop solo shows in July of 2009 and it's been a wonderful learning process. My progress has been not quite as rapid as I would've liked it to be, but that is due in part to having to switch up musicians along the way for various reasons, and it takes extra time and effort for each musician coming on board with me to learn my original material in addition to my standards.
I very much appreciate and am very much indebted to the musicians I have had the good fortune of working with, past and present!
I appreciate all of the constructive criticism of my friends who attend my shows and all of their constant support of me!
I've had the great fortune of finding some consistent, committed musicians to work with as well as great substitute musicians in case emergencies should arise as that is part of the nature of the animal that is the musical performance industry.
I thank everyone who continues to support me in spirit as well as in person, and now that I have some consistent players to get jazzy with me I'm really looking forward to having 2011 be my best year as a jazz vocalist/writer and performer with my band!
